TaxRadar is a decision-support tool. It is not a regulated tax advisory service, accountancy firm, or financial adviser. Nothing on this website constitutes personal financial, tax, or legal advice.

TaxRadar is not responsible for any HMRC penalties, tax underpayments, overpayments, loss of benefits, or other financial consequences arising from the use of our tools or content.

Use of Service

Permitted Use

You may use TaxRadar for:

  • Business planning and HR purposes
  • Educational and informational purposes

Prohibited Use

You may not:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or copy our calculator logic or source code
  • Use automated systems to scrape, crawl, or download content
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Impersonate TaxRadar or misrepresent your affiliation with us
  • Present TaxRadar results to third parties as professional tax or financial advice

Accuracy of Calculations

We take care to align our calculations with published HMRC rates, thresholds, and rules. However:

  • We cannot guarantee 100% accuracy in every scenario
  • Tax legislation and HMRC guidance may change at any time
  • Individual circumstances (e.g. benefits-in-kind, overseas income, pension protections) may affect your actual liability
  • The accuracy of alerts, projections, or savings estimates depends on the accuracy of data you provide

Always verify important calculations with HMRC or a qualified professional before acting.

Your Responsibilities

When using TaxRadar, you are responsible for:

  • Ensuring the accuracy of information you input into our tools
  • Verifying calculation results independently before making financial decisions
  • Complying with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of any account credentials you create
  • Using the Service in accordance with these Terms

Affiliate Links and Partner Referrals

TaxRadar may contain links to third-party products and services, including but not limited to pension providers (SIPPs), electric vehicle leasing, insurance, accounting software, and banking services.

Where you click on a link and subsequently sign up for, purchase, or engage with a third-party product or service, we may receive a referral commission or fee at no additional cost to you.

This commercial relationship does not affect the information or calculations we provide. We are not responsible for the products, services, terms, or practices of any third party. Any contract you enter into is between you and the third-party provider.

In accordance with Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) guidelines and consumer protection regulations, we disclose affiliate relationships prominently where applicable. If in doubt, assume any link to an external service may be an affiliate link.

Paid Services

TaxRadar may offer paid subscription tiers or premium features ("Pro Services") in the future. If and when Pro Services are introduced:

  • Pricing, billing frequency, and scope of features will be clearly stated at the point of purchase
  • You will have the right to cancel your subscription in accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (14-day cooling-off period for online purchases)
  • Recurring subscriptions may be cancelled at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice; existing subscribers will be notified in advance

Full subscription terms will be published alongside any paid offering before purchase.

Intellectual Property

All content, features, functionality, and calculator logic on TaxRadar are the property of Taxradar Ltd and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of our Service without our express written permission.

Service Availability

We provide the Service on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Defects will be corrected within any timeframe
  • The Service will be available at all times

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time without notice or liability.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Taxradar Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of data
  • HMRC penalties, interest charges, or loss of tax reliefs/benefits
  • Business interruption
  • Any other financial damages or losses

This applies whether the alleged liability is based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other basis, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
